The Owlery gives you the freedom of a private house rather than a hotel room.

Start the day over breakfast with views towards Loch Linnhe. Head out early for the mountains or take things more slowly. Cook when you choose, relax together in the evening and enjoy having your own space throughout your stay.

The house has been furnished and equipped with comfortable stays in mind, with carefully chosen interiors and practical facilities for guests staying for anything from a short break to a longer Highland holiday. The guest guide describes the furnishings, artwork and accessories as deliberately curated for the property.

Warm, comfortable and contemporary

Underfloor heating runs throughout the house, with individual room thermostats, while the log burner gives you somewhere especially inviting to settle down on a cooler Highland evening.

The Owlery also provides private parking for at least three cars and a dedicated EV charging point.

Overlooking Loch Linnhe

The Owlery sits above Loch Linnhe on Achintore Road, around a mile from Fort William High Street.

This stretch of road has long been known locally as Fort William’s “Golden Mile”, valued particularly for its position overlooking the loch and surrounding Highland scenery.

That gives you the best of both worlds: Fort William close at hand, while the wider Highlands begin almost as soon as you leave the door.
